Crop packaging products and their end-of-life solution are a major concern in the industry, and Independent Wrap acknowledges our responsibility as an importer to help end users deal with their waste responsibly. Most recently, we have supported Recycle South’s fundraising efforts to installing water recycling technology, which improves their environmental impact by reducing fresh water use during the bale wrap recycling process.
Recycle South also add value to the cleaned and shredded bale wrap by manufacturing it back into high-quality pellets, which are then able to be used to manufacture stretch wrap again, supporting a circular economy and re-use of our precious resources. Recycle South also employ more than 80 people with disability from the Southland community, providing meaningful and valuable employment.
